Their view has been borne out by an article in the Financial Times (27/08/2014) which details research by estate agents Knight Frank.

Knight Frank has concluded that interest in the luxury market from investors from Russia, UAE, France and India has waned, markedly but that there has been a spike in interest from Italian investors.

Many believe that the fiscal response by this government to clamp down on property ownership through offshore investment companies together with international money laundering compliance has deterred many of the traditional overseas investors.
