Sean Reilly acted for a Polish National who was the subject of European Arrest Warrant, which was discharged today by DJ Riddle at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

This is a matter which was first instigated by the Polish Government when they issued the European Arrest Warrant in 2011.

The excellent Martin Henley, a barrister from specialist extradition chambers Great James Street, argued using sections 14 (passage of time) and 25 (Physical or mental condition) of the Extradition Act 2003 and article 8 of the Human Rights Act 1998 (right to respect for private and family life), that it would be unfair to extradite our client in these circumstances.

Thankfully DJ Riddle agreed and quashed the warrant for his arrest.
