Layna acted for a couple who faced confiscation proceedings in the sum of £185,000.

However, as a result of Layna's diligent analysis (and her forceful s.17 statement and addendum) the Crown conceded £181,000. Layna was unhappy with the Crown's later stance and argued against their assumptions regarding criminal lifestyle. The Court agreed with Layna's approach and the Crown eventually conceded, and withdrew the confiscation proceedings.
