1. Acted for the respondent (employer), who faced claim for unlawful deduction from wages, breach of contract, unfair dismissal, and failure to pay accrued holiday entitlement. The client, who at the time was unrepresented, failed to respond, and consequently a judgement was entered against her. She then applied to review the judgement and was disbarred from appearing at the remedies hearing. We raised strong arguments to counter that determination, and in the meantime the matter was settled for a sum in excess of £7,000 (the original claim was for £49,000).


2. Acted for the claimant (employee), who claimed unfair dismissal and unlawful deduction of wages. He had been willing and able to return to work after suffering illness, however he was not offered work and was dismissed. His claim was dismissed as it was deemed to be out of time (he was unrepresented at that stage), however we were able to argue that the claim was indeed within time and the case was settled for a sum in excess of £15,000.


3. Acted for claimant (employee), who claimed unfair dismissal by age discrimination. Case was settled for a sum in excess of £45,000.
