Giovanni represented an Italian National accused of sexual assault.

He was originally represented by a large criminal defence firm of solicitors on legal aid; this was a complicated case, with a wealth of mitigation which the solicitors had done nothing to pursue or collate. They had advised him that he would be sentenced to six years imprisonment.

His family, who were very unhappy with the performance of the original, found Giovanni and privately instructed him. He immediately briefed the excellent David Nathan QC.

Giovanni thoroughly prepared the clients mitigation and he was sentenced to suspended sentence of imprisonment.
