gavelOur client was arrested in September 2013 and subsequently charged with possession of 5 indecent images (which were reduced to 3 even before his first court appearance) on his smartphone. With the assistance of a forensic computer expert, we were able to demonstrate that our client had been searching for adult pornography and none of the websites visited contained overtly illegal content. Furthermore, by looking at other images linked to the indicted images, we could show that the persons depicted could not be said to be under 18 years of age. Representations were made to the Crown and no evidence was offered at a hearing at Kingston Crown Court on 5 August 2014.
