Crime & Fraud Cases

1.
On Tuesday 20 August at Wood Green Crown Court, the CPS offered no evidence against our client who had been charged with conspiracy to rob. The complainant alleged that our client, in company with a number of other persons, had taken him to a cashpoint where he was forced to withdraw money. Following further enquiries which indicated the unreliability of the complainant, the case was reviewed by the Crown and then dropped. The client was represented by Tony Meisels and Moly Pinkus of Farringdon Chambers.

2.
Sean Reilly represented an individual who faced a serious allegation of assault. Sharp-eyed Sean spotted what the CPS had missed: that the victim had failed to provide a witness statement and the only prosecution witness confirmed the defence raised by our client in the police station interview upon arrest!
