Another Success for LNL & Layna Thompson

Crime & Fraud Cases

Police seized money from a safety deposit box in 2008 and the firm has only now received confirmation that the ordeal is over for the owners! Approximately £150,000 will be returned to the clients represented by Layna Thompson, which were monies gifted to them by their parents to buy their own home in the UK.

Prior to Layna’s involvement in the case, the Police had lost their file and had to start all over again resulting in a protracted investigation through no fault of the clients. Layna represented both clients in interview and advised them as to the supporting evidence required to successfully reclaim their monies. She refused the let the matter continue to drag on making representations as to the conduct of the investigation and ultimately secured the return of the clients’ monies.

The police assumption that cash = crime continues to make lives hellish for those from different cultures but thankfully in this case Layna was able to obtain the right result, even if the officer did suggest that our clients might wish to rent another safety deposit box into which they could receive the returned monies!!!
