A Metropolitan Police Witness Care Unit admin officer was recently cleared of intimidating a witness and misconduct in a public office. Our client was alleged to have used her position to access a crime report containing details of all witnesses in a case where her sister had been the victim of a GBH. Subsequently our client approached a defence witness outside her workplace and threatened her. However on 10 October 2014, following a four-day trial at Blackfriars Crown Court, she was acquitted of both charges. At her trial our client was eloquently represented by Jeremy Lynn of Farringdon Chambers and the case was meticulously prepared by Tony Meisels of this firm.
